1. About Pausely

Pausely is a parental screen-time management app for Android developed by Level X Apps. It helps parents manage and limit their children's screen time by enforcing structured breaks.

2. Information We Collect

Pausely collects only the minimum information necessary to operate the app:

Parent email address
Child's first name
Device name
Screen-time settings and break preferences
Break history, coins, and streak count
Subscription purchase history (which plan you bought and when), collected via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to manage your Pro subscription

Pausely does not collect location data, browsing history, or your payment card details — card and payment details are handled entirely by Google Play and are never accessible to us — and we do not collect any data directly from children.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used solely to:

Operate and deliver the app's core features
Send guardian unlock codes to the parent by email — including the child's first name and device name, so the parent can identify which child and device the request is for (Pro feature)
Process and manage your Pro subscription, and restore purchases
Restore settings if the app is reinstalled

4. Use of Accessibility Services

Pausely uses Android's Accessibility Service solely to detect which app is currently in the foreground and whether the screen is on, so it can start and enforce screen-time breaks. It never reads your screen contents, messages, or keystrokes. This information is processed only on your device and is never transmitted to us.

5. COPPA Compliance

Pausely is designed for use by parents and guardians. All information is entered by the parent only. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

6. Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on the device using Android SharedPreferences. No personal data is transmitted to external servers except where required for Pro features — EmailJS for guardian emails, and RevenueCat with Google Play Billing for subscription management.

7. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat — manages Pro subscriptions and stores purchase history via Google Play Billing
EmailJS — sends guardian unlock-code emails to the parent, which include the child's first name and device name (Pro only)
Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments

8. Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and is never sold or transferred to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. All data transmitted for Pro features is sent over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

9. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You may delete all on-device data at any time by clearing Pausely's app data or uninstalling the app in your Android device settings. To request deletion of data held on our behalf — such as the subscription purchase history stored by RevenueCat — follow the steps on our Data Deletion page or email us at info@levelxinc.com. Please note that Google Play keeps its own record of purchases under Google's policies, which we are unable to delete.

10. App Accessibility

Pausely is committed to accessibility. The app supports Android TalkBack screen reader, meets minimum touch-target sizes, and uses sufficient color contrast throughout. To report an accessibility issue, contact us at info@levelxinc.com.
